Fusion Blue
BD Biosciences (Clontech)
K-12 strain that provides high transformation efficiency paired with blue/white screening capability when used with the appropriate plasmids. The strain carries recA and endA mutations that make it a good host for obtaining high yields of plasmid DNA.  Recommended for use with the In-Fusion and Creator cloning systems.
Optional: Tet12.5 mgr/ml

Heat shock during transformation should last only 30 sec.

Stbl2
Invirtogen
A derivative of JM109. The mcrA mutation and the mcrBC-hsdRMS-mrr deletion allow cloning of genomic sequences which
are methylated. These cells are not capable of blue/white selection with
plasmids containing alpha complementation sequences.
Use of a 30°C expression and incubation temperature is important.

Heat shock during transformation should last only 25 sec.

Stbl2™ Competent Cells which have been transansformed with plasmids should be grown at 30°C overnight in TB

Stbl3
(Site)

The Stbl3™ E. coli strain is derived from the HB101 E. coli strain and is recommended for use when cloning unstable inserts such as lentiviral DNA containing direct repeats
